  • 1.5 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine, I used Pinot Grigio
  • 2 pinches crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/3 cup bottled A1 steak sauce
  • 1 (1.25 oz) package chili seasoning mix
  • 1 (15 oz) can pinto beans, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh cilantro
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 packet Splenda
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • **Feel free to add additional chili powder to taste, I added a few more dashes

In a large pan, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned.  Place cooked ground turkey in your slow cooker and stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, wine and steak sauce.  Add all other ingredients and set your slow cooker on low for 8 hours.  Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese if desired.  Enjoy!
